Mike Forness, Executive Director,
came to Ronald McDonald House Charities from the Health Improvement Partnership
in September 2003. He previously was with Deaconess Medical Center as a program manager
for more than a decade. He has 22 years' experience in healthcare administration,
marketing, fundraising and strategic planning.

Kathie Vlahovich
is our Operations Director. She is an LPN who began as a volunteer when the
House opened. She loves the outdoors and chocolate (not necessarily in
that order). The Ronald McDonald House of Spokane logo was drawn by her husband,

Jim Smith is our part-time House
Manager/Network Manager and shares most of the House duties with Kathie. He
is a retired civil engineer and also is retired from the Army. Jim served as
a Relief House Manager from 1996 to 2000. Along with his wife, Jim enjoys
traveling, visiting the grandkids. In his spare time Jim loves to read and
rebuild old computers. |

Courtney Stanhope, Family Room Coordinator.
Courtney came to the Ronald McDonald House as a volunteer while attending the Social Work
program at EWU. She is a childhood cancer survivor and knows all too well the strain having
an ill child puts on a family, both emotionally and financially. Courtney volunteered at the
House for over a year, became a Relief Manager and soon took on the title of Coordinator for
the Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Courtney thoroughly
enjoys her position at the Family Rooms and appreciates the great need that the Ronald McDonald
House Charities fills for families going through very similar situations as her family once did. |

Melanie Ullrich joined the
staff as Resident Night Manager in November 2002 after spending several months
as a volunteer. She moved to Spokane from the Tri cities, where she worked at a
McDonald's restaurant for five years and at the Kennewick offices of Adams
Tri Cities Enterprises, the local McDonald's owner/operator, for seven years. |

Barbara Turner Our Gallop Coordinator,
came to Ronald McDonald House Charities in July of 2005, after serving (16) years with the
Wishing Star Foundation. During a period of that time, she was additionally employed with
the National Snaffle Bit Association in Tulsa, Oklahoma as their Executive Director. She
brings to our "House," (23) years of experience in Fundraising & Development. She is proud
to be a team member of the Ronald McDonald House staff ... during Barbara's off hours,
she enjoys breeding, training and showing her Quarter Horses, and spending time with family. |

Debbie Fucile
is our Volunteer Coordinator. An Oregon native, Debbie and her family moved to
Spokane in 1992. She has been a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House since 2007.
Debbie worked for Jantzen for 17 years and as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a
Portland Media production firm. She also has been the Volunteer Coordinator at the
Moran Praire School, NW regional Coorinator for America's Junior Miss Scholarship
Program and a member of the Ferris High School Ham on Regal Players. Debbie's husband,
Steve, is the author of the newly published mystery novel, "Casting for Ghosts".

Denise Weber
Denise joined our staff as a part-time bookkeeper in
May 2007. She comes with several years experience as a bank teller and branch
manager in private industry and eight years working at the Wing Staff level in
the Air Force. She loves the mission of our organization and you'll find her
assisting wherever she can. Denise is married with two young
daughters. In her spare time, she loves to travel with family and play golf.
Denise is also a avid runner. |

Theresa Norman
is our House Assistant. A former LPN, Theresa started as a volunteer in 1999
then joined the staff as a Weekend Relief Manager in 2001. On March 1, 2006
she joined the staff full time as House Assistant. Theresa is originally from
upstate New York (Jamestown). She loves helping people and is very excited
to be a team member of the Ronald McDonald House. When not at work, she enjoys
being with her Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sisters, investment club and spending
time with her three sons and grandsons. As time allows, Theresa enjoys gardening
and knitting. |

Jennifer Butler, Administrative Assistant comes to us from Montana. She moved to Spokane in November of 2006. her past employment
history is comprised of retail management, and administrative support. Jennifer is pursuing a degree in IT Management and looking forward to where that may lead. She has two children, a 2 1/2 year old son and a 4 month old daughter, that consumes her time outside of work.
Jennifer is very proud of her family. She takes life one day at a time and enjoyes the
blessings that have been given to her.

Dena Mulkin
Administrative Assistant. Dena first came to the Ronald McDonald House in 2005 as a volunteer, since then she has had the great pleasure of becoming a staff member. In 2007 she became a Weekend Relief Manager and at the beginning of 2008 she joined us as an Administrative Assistant. Her prior employment history includes Restaurant and Retail Management and Administrative support. Dena and her husband John, moved back to Spokane in 2000 to be close to family while raising their two boys, now 14 and 18. Dena enjoys spending time with her family and 3 dogs, reading, writing, and the outdoors.
