When Abel was born he was not breathing. Able's mother, Annessa, expected to bring him home to meet his 2 year old brother and instead she was told he would have to stay at Sacred Heart Medical Center for a while.

Annessa, said, "Because of the Ronald McDonald House, I was able to be close to Able and nurse him regularly. If I had to commute the 40 minutes to Mica, WA he would not have developed his nursing skills as quickly and his hospital stay would have been much longer. The experience was very stressful for our family but the Ronald McDonald House helped"
