Maria is 2 1/2 years old. When Maria began to complain that her throat and head were hurting her, her mother took her to the doctor. Within a month she was sent from her home town of Mattawa, WA to Deaconess Medical Center to be treated for a cancerous tumor in her neck.

Maria's mother and her 10 month old baby brother have made the Ronald McDonald House their "Home-Away-From-Home" while her father, 4 older sisters and her older brother visit on the weekends due to school and work schedules. 

Maria's mother says, "Thank you for the Ronald McDonald House, I don't know what I would have done without you!".
